Actual!!!

Biotech labs use psychrophiles to help with LIGASE CHAIN REACTION used routinely as molecular biologist tool kit to connect pieces of DNA.

The perfume industry need enzymes that work at refrigerator temperatures, so they are using some psychrophiles.

Right now they are collaborating with a seattle based company Profishent to work with freezing fish eggs without harming them, by utilizing the exoenzymatic activities used by psychrophiles, in hopes that they can enable biotech firms to ship frozen but viable eggs to hatcheries and other facilities around the world.  This could help to protect endangered fish species around the world.  This same technology could possibly be used for storing organ cells or tissues.
